Even the architecture stands out – a visit to the Eltham Library simply to observe this splendid example of mud-brick construction is a delight – many locals live and work in “muddies”.

Eltham Arts and Craft Market – 3rd Sunday each month 8.30am-12.30

Artist's Open Studios – 30 artists across 20 private studios scattered in the local hills – now in its 19th year – next Open Days are in May – check the dates and, when they are listed, book your accommodation at the Eltham Gateway as soon as possible for these fabulous weekends!

Montsalvat – Eltham's historic artist colony - regular feature exhibitions and artists in residence.

Wineries – if you love wine, you’re in the right place! Sit by the open fire or on the terrazzo whilst you select from our wide range of local wines to accompany your evening meal – and retire to your cosy accommodation – no need to drive home!
